I agree with Snowbrushy. "Fire lookout" is one of those phrases which has been used in at least a couple of ways; the person doing the firewatching as well as the structure from which the firewatching is done. Thank you, BillOutWest (and your spouse) for your collective service. Anvil Rock Lookout had a rock cabin and an outdoor Osborne firefinder. Best of both worlds!
