Billoutwest, Thank You for your service. I'm sorry for the confusion. The word "lookout" is sometimes used to refer to the person inside as opposed to the actual structure. That's all that I was trying to say. That's the context. I'm a poor writer, sorry for that!

"Fire lookout" is one of those phrases which has been used in at least a couple of ways; the person doing the firewatching as well as the structure from which the firewatching is done.
