Fletcher's recent TR has me wanting to climb The Brothers (South Brother). This weekend looks awesome. Interested?

Hi mtn.climber,
I also got psyched reading Fletcher's trip report, but having no one readily available to summit the Brothers, I went to the Olympics on my own last Thurs, Fri and Sat and summited 5 other peaks which were a little easier, mostly class 2, but somewhat challenging. If you still want to do the Brothers, I would love to go and next weekend the weather is looking good too.

Hey guys!
Anyone up for an overnight attempt on Mt. Edward? I've cleared a couple weekends late April/early May. Am an experienced hiker, but never tried this one before and need someone who is familiar w the route. The non-existent snowpack last year foiled my plans so now is my chance!! Let's go!

I had to Google Mt. Edward to see that it is the southern peak of the Brothers. We had a lot of fun on that one last year. Good luck!!

Tempting offers. I'm sure you'll find someone that will join you at a lesser cost. Lol! It's a great climb. Be aware that the upper slopes are avalanche prone, and still might be an issue in late April, depending what happens over the next few weeks. Also, make sure the weather is decent. There are fantastic views to be had from the top.
If you need any info re route, etc....let me know.
Keep me posted on your plan.

Just FYI, the snow slopes are steep and in some places with bad runout; a spring attempt on the Brothers would require ice ax and crampons, including ice ax arrest skills, as well as good avalanche assessment skills.

we almost got killed there in May when I was in college. Big but slow slide coming down the route about 6' high.

I'm up for a Brothers attempt. April 1st I'm going to try for Snowfield Peak again and Colonial, the following weekend is St Helens so I'd happily consider April 15th if weather holds out. Have you done the climb before? Supposedly phenomenal.

Hey Sam,
Nice to hear someone might be up for it! I've never climbed it before, so I'm looking for a buddy that has. But I may have another guy who could lead us. Possible weekends are looking like 4/23 or 5/7. Possibly doing Elinor soon to gain ice axe/crampon experience 👍🏼
