I've used the Oben TT-100 now a few times and it is very good. It consists of a very solid, metal base (the legs spread about 10") and a ballhead. The camera can be screw-mounted to either position. The base is at a height of 1-9/16", the top of the ballhead 3-5/8". If you mount the camera to the base there is no ability to tilt the lens. At the ballhead, of course, the camera can be rotated and tilted to any direction. Again the weight is 8 oz.
