Hey everyone, I am just trying to help my friend get the word out about his stolen Brompton. I cross posted this in the Lost and Found in Trail Talk too.
It is a somewhat hard to acquire, rather unique folding bike, A Brompton.
Here is the Craig's List add with details and a picture: http://spokane.craigslist.org/bik/5156887154.html
It was ripped off in the Costco Parking lot on Sprague Avenue in Spokane WA this past weekend.
My guess is it will be sold in the region, but away from Spokane, so please keep your nose to the wind.
The owner is a great guy (and a Veteran) and simply cannot go out and buy another one.
He used it for daily commuting to and from work and he depends on it year-a-round. He is a true 4-season bike commuter (even in Spokane winters) and needs this bike to get to work.
Thank you for checking this out and keeping it in mind.

Bike thieves are scum. I hope his bike is recovered without too much damage.

Hope the thief falls off the curb and breaks both legs and both arms, and cracks their skull too.

Yeah, we all feel the same way about thieves for sure.
I will pass along the tips and thanks for the support everyone!

I just read about "recoveries" on bikeindex.org, great to hear not all thieves are getting away with it.

I could not get the craigslist link to open in OP. Someone should send a heads up to Coeur DAlene/Post Falls bike shops too.

My friend's Brompton is registered on that website.
He has essentially given up on any recovery at this point.
It could happen, but it would be like winning Powerball...unlikely.
