It's pretty safe to say that if we take all of man kinds accumulated knowledge, we still don't know everything. So, I hope you understand why I don't believe you know everything. But then again, maybe you do.

A friend and I will be tagging a few peaks along the Cascade Crest. With any luck we will get to the summits of Overcoat, Little Big Chief, Middle Chief, and Summit Chief. The Middle Fork Road is slated to be gated sometime this fall at Dingford Creek so reaching these peaks now cuts off 7 1/2 miles of hiking each way.

Mike, your trip sounds like a Mike and Mike trip, no? I was on his first expedition up there a couple weeks ago, where we got rained out. Good luck!

I'm jealous of all you who will get into the mountains this weekend. I will be on weekend 2 helping my friend build his little 4000 sq ft "cabin" at Lake Cushman. Between building walls I'll have a clear view of Mt. Elinor and Mt. Washington. Wave if you hike to the top.
Have fun all....

So, Mike, when you and Mike are out, don't you get confused? I mean Mike talks to himself and maybe you talk to yourself. Do you go over that sort of thing up front, so that (for instance) when Mike hears you say, "Mike, do you need more water?" he knows you're talking to him, and not yourself.
I mean that sort of thing could get confusing and has potential for danger ("Hey Mike, cinch up that rope, willya?").

I won't be getting out this weekend either, sun or clouds. The friend that has been living with me all summer is moving out and I'm helping him. I'll get to spend lots of time this weekend lifting furniture and shuffling it between Kirkland and Puyallip.
