Rolfing, pin and stretch, myofascial release; all have similarities. I tend to hold all my tension in, especially in my calves and shoulders. My LMT does myofascial release, and all I know is that I walk like a human when I come out of his office. I wish I could afford to go there more often. I've learned enough of the moves that I have worked out peoples 'muscle pulls' so they could walk back the trailhead instead of being helped out.
