Haven't been to the park in a year or two, so need a fix and there seems to be a long weekend coming, so... Planning on leaving here Friday at 3:00 pm latest, from work in Lakewood. Back Monday Night. Should arrive in park around noon Saturday or a bit earlier, head straight to do a hike, unless something better comes along. Spend the rest of the day doing another short hike or two if time allows, don't plan to find a resting place until dark as I like to look for animals in the evening. I tend to get up early for the same reason. Couple of day hikes on Sunday and then head home Monday as I have to be back at work at 6:00 am on Tuesday. Planning on sleeping in back of truck along way on Friday and Sat - Sunday in park, have canopy on it with an Aero bed mattress. I would never park in a hotel parking lot and crawl in the back , and there is always the national forest next door so to speak. anybody up for a quick cheap trip? PM or reply and we can talk...
