I assume that this year's fire are the end for a number of lookouts. I received a note that the Berray Mountain Lookout survived the Goat Rock Complex fires in western Montana. Top of mountain burned, but last hundred feet had little or no fuel. Lookout is a wooden tower type. This is above the Bull Run River, north of the Clark Fork, east of Scotchman Peak. Pyrites

Snowbrushy If your photo a couple feet to the right of the side ridge and tree, the this photo from INCIWEB appears to be a few feet to the left same small side ridge. Is this the same tree, now burnt? http://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/photographs/4564/ See photo 14, current numbers.

Hi, it's a photo that I found on Google or Bing Images for that post. Thats a good looking lookout and I hope that nothing has burned up there.
