Planning out-and-back, Ice Lake and beyond as time permits. Start from Wallowa Lake, where there is camping and lodging. It's 19 to 20 miles total. Blue skies, blue lakes, white granite, reds and golds of autumn foliage..

I'm looking to do a 3 to 4 day hike in the Wallowas. If I don't find company for an earlier date, I might contact you about hiking in with you. I've done Ice Lake but not Matterhorn.

Some friends are dayhiking out of Wallowa Lake this coming weekend, the 18th-20th, so I'll probably be going then. But I appreciate the offer!
