This is a thumbnail article about the first laws in Oregon Country, before the states or territories or country. Before the law it was No Mans Land where the fear of God and the noose ruled the day with frontier justice. Laws about African Americans, Indians, and the first wolf bounty, etc. 1843 - 1849.
