You're talking about position players, right? (see Pedro, pre-PED Clemens.) Gotta disagree re Bonds, who, pre-PED, 7-3/8 hat size and skinny, was a superior speed player who put up overall numbers at Griffey Jr.'s level year after year. IMO the biggest tragedy of Bonds' career is that he would have been a first ballot HOF lock without PEDs (same can be said re Roger Clemens) but he started taking PEDs because he was envious of McGwire and Sosa getting all the attention. Contrast Sosa, who, without PEDs, would have been nothing greater than a solid journeyman player.
