Snohomish Sheriff tweet about 4:00 PM (Jan 25, 2016):
Quote:
Sending our helo to Index Town Wall to check on a base jumper stuck in the trees. Unknown if there are injuries.
Then tweet about 6 PM:
Quote:
Base jumper rescued, no injuries. Helo cancelled.
Herald article.

That logic could be extended.

To the next person who goes out in the ocean in a small boat, or flies a small plane, or climbs a small mountain.......

...or at least think about it first before calling and maybe have a backup plan to self-rescue if you do stupid sh##. Sounds like an easy rescue...this time.

By that logic society should deny access to ambulances and emergency room services for smokers, motorcycle riders, drinks more than two alcohol containing drinks in a day, people that eat donuts or bacon, anyone that buys fireworks, etc. If we did all that, we would only need maybe 1/3 as many hospitals...

No, you don't get it - this should only apply to the case of risks that I wouldn't take clown.gif

Never mind the concept that laws cannot be passed after the fact based on one internet troll's unfounded opinion. embarassedlaugh.gif If any laws need to be passed so that people can be "sent a bill", it should be for car drivers that cause accidents that tie up traffic for thousands of people. Every person affected should be able to get compensation from the morons involved. That would address a problem a million times larger than base jumpers ending up in trees. Did I say "million"? I meant billion. hmmm.gif
