Never was that big of an Eagles fan but one of the all time best TV for style was Don Johnson driving at night on Miami Vice while Glenn sang "Something in the Air" RIP Glenn you are heading for one hell of a jam with all the Greats that passed this month.

We're all getting older. The loss of many of the stars of our youth is an unmistakable sign. The Eagles were part of that youth, not my favorite band, but really good with many classic tunes.
RIP

Ouch! Part of the soundtrack of the 70's. I watched "History of the Eagles", an interesting documentary of the group on Netflix last year.

Sad, RIP Glenn. Thanks for one of the iconic bands and sounds of the 70's.

My sister went off to college and left behind 'Their Greatest Hits and 'Hotel California.....
I was hungry for perspective and within I found lyrics, amazing music and songs that never grew old. The music (especially vocals) just spoke to me for some reason and still does. Something about it.
If you've never heard them or they were before your time, on the next long drive to a trail, take The Eagles along. Good stuff that will make your trip that much more memorable. (IMHO)
Thanks Glenn!

Yes sad day.
The Eagles were one of my favorite bands growing up in high school especially.
I remember wearing out that "One of these Nights" cassette in high school on a hunting trip of all places.
I played it so much while we were "camped", that it wore down the car battery (actually it was a Volkswagon Vanagon - belonged to a friend of my dads). Luckily we were pulling a dune buggy and able to jump it from that battery, LOL!
Strange what you remember.
As a tribute today I was and will continue to play Glenn Fry Live in the car on my commute.
I actually got to see the Eagles during their Hell Freezes Over tour. What a concert that was...

RIP. I didn't buy an album because I was into British hard rock bands and they collectively were electric-folk-country-rock. Yet, it was hard not to find one of their songs stuck in your head. Such was the great talent that they (he) possessed. RIP.

Can't help but hear the geriatric version whenever I hear the "Hotel California" song:

Now. CNN has History of The Eagles on TV tonight. I believe in 10 mins. 5:00 PM, PST.
