I've posted this in a couple other places as well. I am looking for any recommendations for a good foot doctor in Seattle who knows something about recreation as well. I have a Morton's Neuroma on of my feet and I need to get it dealt with or least talk to a doctor about some options. I really only have major issues when I am skinning. Hiking isn;t so much unless I have a really long/hard day but even then I can deal with the pain for the most part. But skinning can be excruciating. It sucks. Have tried some things with my boots but none are helping so want to talk with someone. Thanks for any input.
Possibly the foot box is too narrow? OP, have you punched your boots?
Thanks for the doctor recommendations.
Yes I have had my boots punched. Its also done this with 4 different pairs of boots. Not sure why skinning effects it the way it does. I do feel it sometimes when hiking, walking, climbing but just can tell its there, its never unbearable pain like when I skin.
An update. I had the metatarsal pad removed yesterday and tried a new one of a softer material and in a different location on my foot and made a world of difference. Still little soreness but nothing like before. Was abel to skin relatively free of pain with the short test I made. Will have to test not further. Still making a doctors appointment to discuss options.
