Keith Emerson a founding member and keyboardist of Emerson, Lake and Palmer (Wiki) has passed on. From an article in The Guardian: Keith Emerson, the keyboardist with the progressive rock supergroup Emerson, Lake and Palmer, has died at the age of 71. Emerson was known as one of the most successful and experimental musicians of his era, with most of his work with the band being released in the 1970s.
I enjoyed much of their music back in the day. These are two songs, both written by Lake but synonymous with the group. Greg Lake is the main vocalist and the guitarist. Keith Emerson plays keyboard, Carl Palmer is percussionist. "Lucky Man" is on their debut album from 1970, Emerson, Lake and Palmer.

Next we have "From the Beginning", probably my favorite, an acoustic ballad featuring an extended synthesizer solo (by Emerson), was released as a single that reached No. 39 in the US. This song appeared in their third studio album Trilogy in 1972. Not the best video, but great sound. Enjoy. ~z
