Hi - I am thinking of a trip up the Kautz trail to Mt Ararat and Indian Henry this weekend. The NPS has no recent trail reports. I am curious about the snow level and if the bridge is in over Kautz. Anyone been up there lately?

I was up there on Wednesday this week. Bring snowshoes if you want to get all the way in to Indian Heaven. I only hiked a little ways on the creek trail (it has some nice orchids) but I did head up Wonderland from Longmire and saw first snow at Cougar Creek campground. Or maybe it's consolidated enough for just microspikes. But yes, winter is still holding on at MRNP. Have fun. -payslee

Thought I might report that all bridges are in, snow patches begin around 4000' and constant snow at 4800'. Good day!
