This is the spring I've been waiting and training two years for! We have a great snow pack and beautiful weather -but I'm not familiar with the route to Mount Edward's summit. Am an experienced backpacker, can assess the snow conditions, self-arrest if necessary, and I'm pretty good company Ready to go first weekend in May! Who's in??

Hi Megazon. Did you ever get to go up to the Brothers?
If not, I wish I had seen your post a few days ago. I was just up on The Brothers route this past weekend with my brother and several others. Maybe you could have joined up with us. It's a favorite climb that we used to do almost every Spring. We don't get out as often anymore, but still try to climb it at least every few years.
Anyway, I just posted an update on The Brothers route and snow conditions over in the Trail Talk forum. If you are still planning to try and go up this year, it looks like there will probably be enough snow at least for a couple more weeks, if the weather cooperates.

I hope your trip plans work out. The climb is well worth it, and on a clear day the view from the summit is one of the best in all of the Olympics.
