Staircase - North Fork of Skokomish Four mile dirt road has been graded and the trail is clear of trees to Camp Pleasant. Round Trip: 14 miles Campsite Elevation:1435 ft. Tent Movie: Black Mass (J. Depp) - Violent, but pretty good... Camp Pleasant

Looks like a pleasant outing. Did you see any signs of furry black critters out and about, or the elk herd?

Eeyore: One camp spot is an island with water flowing swiftly on both sides. You can access it by a large downed tree. Meck: I saw scat on the trail after the last river crossing (North Fork Skokomish) but no bears. I make a lot of noise (think poorly singing late sixties pop) walking through that area each time. Also no (fresh) elk foot prints.

There are actually two sites on the 'island', although the second is not visible until you have crossed the log and wandered to the far side of the island.
