What a terrible way to go.
I was hiking some trail in Yellowstone about 10 years ago and eventually the path began to fade away into a grassy field. The map said to cross and we could see the trail continuing on the far side. But in between there was a small stream with little pools. We stepped really carefully through, stopping every few steps to check the water temperature with the backs of our hands. It was a cold stream thankfully but it was such an unexpected hazard unique to Yellowstone.

“no remains left to recover.”
sort like on Breaking Bad first season...HF will dissolve it all, leaving no trace, all bonds broken.

His happened while we were there, very sad. There are signs all over warning of this danger but we saw tourons sticking their hands into steaming springs and trying to get close to bison, elk, and even grizzlies.

I saw people in the porcelain basin well off the boardwalks and assumed they were there with permission as it is very dangerous there. I also saw tracks in an area by back basin where the boardwalks used to go but were removed when the heat increased in some of the springs.
