Hello, I am a 26 year old male, new to northern Oregon. I'm looking for people to hike with, mostly day trips for now being that I work a lot. I'm not in the best shape but have been trying hard over the last year to get there. I look forward to talking to some of you and exploring the plethora of information on this board!

Welcome to the forums, and at your young age, you have almost "forever" to get in shape, and out walking is an excellent way to do it. Glad you're working on it. Take it slow and easy...and steady, consistent even after the snow flies. Snowshoeing is a good way to burn calories, just be extremely cautious if you go into the mountainous area for that activity.
I'm not a local (but get out here as often as I can), so can't offer any specifics on many trails in and around PDX, but there are many, I'm certain.
Do well, enjoy!
