Did Vie Mtn in the southern Sawtooths recently, and found what appears to be old lookout debris on the summit.
Vie summit old lookout debris
Anyone know the history of this? Vie is a rarely scrambled peak, and the trail that used to wrap around the south slopes of Ferry and north thru the Ferry/Vie saddle is mostly gone, as is the lookout trail. Seems it's been a long time since there was a working lookout up there.
