He was a local resident where I grew up. I had the chance to see him live several times. RIP, Mose.

I saw him 3X in very different venues: a university concert, a night club and a small community college theater. Very intelligent guy with an English degree and a southern hick persona. Solid blues jazz pianist too.

I love his music, sad I won't ever be able to see him perform now. So many times have I had his rendition of 'Meet me at no special place' stuck in my head for hours while climbing. Ooh, I guess the same go's for Professor Longhair...
