1952 photo of my father in law, Clare Hollingsworth (Lotus54's dad). Clare is now 96 years old!

Nice! My favorite old photos include infrastructure like signs, bridges, trailheads etc. That changes over time, the mountains mostly not.

That's very cool Bobbi! Hmm... Press Valley and Camp Baltimore? Was it just referring to Press Valley (geographic location), or would that have been referring to what is now Chateau Camp? And Camp Baltimore, -> now Mary's Falls camp, or further up Lillian River? (I remember seeing what appeared to be a small camp at the end of the Lillian River trail)

from Mark: Camp Baltimore is just past Mary's Falls, further up the Elwha River. I did lots of trips up the Elwha with Jack Nattinger, and learned a lot of history and of course all the old names. CCC had a big trial camp there- if I recall the story correctly. Press Valley is below Hayes river, so geographic location. Chateau Camp is in Press Valley
