I first visited Little Sandy Falls on the east side of Mt. Baker about five years ago and made a return trip on Wednesday. I measured the falls at 241' tall (which is a little higher than I thought the first time): 137' tall upper tier, 65' tall bottom tier, and 39' worth of cascades in between. The first time I bushwhacked about a mile and a quarter each way up the creek and it was horrible. This time I walked five miles on an old, overgrown road, then bushwhacked for about half a mile before dropping very steeply down into the canyon. It's still a long and difficult trip, but it's much easier than the route I took the first time. Anyway, here's some pictures:

Sorefeet, myself, and another friend visited Giant Falls on Mt. Rainier Saturday. It's a very aptly named waterfall, measuring 232' (the visible portion anyway) on an enormous waterway. It's around two miles each way from Spray Falls, all off-trail, but not horrifically difficult compared to some of the crap I've done. It was hard to take pictures thanks to poor lighting and the fact that everything within a half a mile of Giant Falls is soaked. We saw a few other waterfalls along the way as well.

Back when this thread first began, the Snoqualmie Tree Farm was a big deal. We were all trying to visit Rachor Falls (which many of us eventually did). This past weekend I checked out Hancock Creek and it too has some great waterfalls on it:

I like Petticoat Falls off of the Suiattle River, especially during heavy snow melt.

For Scrooge (if he's still watching this thread):
These are a two shot blends - a long exposure (2.5sec) to get form and a faster one (1/200sec) to get texture.

Been a while since I posted one, so I'll toss this up. A drone's-eye view of Huckleberry Falls, just north of the Suiattle River Road.

Hi, Gali. The far part (right-hand side of right-hand picture) is starting to look like a 'real' waterfall; i.e., what you see when you look at falling water. But you know that, and you always have. The beautiful, artistic pictures that you produce are your attempt to reproduce the power and motion of falling water (and what you feel as witness). As you also know, I think you must be forever unsuccessful, because you cannot visually separate a trickle from a ripple from a cascade from Snoqualmie Falls in flood. Taken on their own, as compositions of texture, light, and color, your pictures range from good to glorious, but ..... I think I'll just stop there.

Something lost behind the ranges. Lost and waiting for you....... Go and find it. Go!

Thanks for the feedback anyway, Scrooge. I think I tried that approach a while ago and made a complete hash of it. I figured it was worth a shot to repeat it. I just wish I had better post-processing skills.

I hate it when this thread slips beyond Page 4 so I need to revive it with some pictures from Lake Isabel/May Creek from a couple weeks back. I got Isabel Falls and May Creek Falls, as well as two other small waterfalls on May Creek in between the two. They're both super pretty!

Upper May Creek Falls has a nice lower tier as well. It looked like if you crossed the creek you could get a really good view of the two tiers together and it would be super pretty, but I didn't cross the creek. Next time maybe.

Last Saturday I bagged a waterfall that had been on my radar for nearly a decade. Scramble Creek is about four miles past Sulphide Creek way up the Baker River. Once you get to the creek it's a REALLY steep 800' climb up the side of the creek to a view of the falls. I had hoped for 200' tall, but it ended up being much bigger. The main plunging portion stands at 309' tall by itself. There are cascades above and then a 62' tall plunging drop below as well so the total height is 444'.

A couple weeks back I did something I've wanted to do for a long time. That was get up to the bottom of the big drop on Deadhorse Falls. Edit: I can't figure out why, but for some reason my images won't load. You can see them at Facebook in this album: https://www.facebook.com/aaron.young.5268/media_set?set=a.10155836892909873.1073741927.734099872&type=3
