The skiing was great in the mountains early in the week, but the wind was coming up and it was coooold, so I decided to hop on the clear weather to hit the coast for two evenings, with a night at Mora. Not many people out there on these winter weekdays. And my hoped-for combo of sun and clouds, particularly around sunset, did appear!
Great beach walking. Happy New Year!

Great choice for camping out in the winter. When the long hours of darkness or endless rain become too much, it's easy to take a break by heading into nearby Forks for a hot meal. As it was, you hit the photographer's weather jackpot with sun and clouds. Each of your photos is wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

They're all nice, but I love that fourth shot.

Thanks for the nice feedback on my photos. Gali - I'm torn between that one and the first for my own favorite from this outing. Both involved a nice mix of anticipating the light and water, knowing my camera so I could react quickly, and a healthy dose of luck. I very much enjoy those sorts of moments which require attention, skill, and a vision to work together. Given the shots you post, I suspect you know what I'm talking about...

I've probably been to Second Beach 15 times and I'm not sure I've ever gotten a single photo as good as several of yours. It makes me feel like I was on a different beach . Great work!

Wonderful images, joker. You've captured the exact vibe of the coast. I have an overwhelming urge to try to step into these pictures...

First class camera slinging joker, and it looks as though the coastal experience didn't hurt you none. Thanks for sharing the beauty and serenity.

Again, thanks! And no, I did not suffer. But my appetite was whetted for spending some more time out there on the edge of weather events.
