Did a pleasant Spring tour up Van Trump Bowl (no relation to the current WH guy as far as I know...). Started from the Nisqually bridge, followed the creek bed up to a steep open side-hill. Had to boot up the last 50', but the snow wasn't too soft fro safe skinning. Contoured the right edge of the upper bowl until the snow got too icy under 2" of soft snow. Had a nice long lunch break with a wide open view South. Skiing was a bit tricky at times, but enjoyable.

Looking forward to Spring skiing!! Long days and warm sun wink.gif

Although I've skied down to the bridge, it has never occurred to me to start a tour from there. I'll have to try that sometime.

Kenji! Great photos--and I too never heard of anyone going up from that bridge--vs lots of skiers who exit there! Thanks for the great photos!
