I don't think that's unique to the Cascades. I'm out near Pt. Defiance. It will be foggy and cold here, and I'll call my buddy about four miles south and he'll tell me it's sunny and warm. Or vice versa. Go figure. dizzy.gif

I second BigSteve's recommendation of the NWS Forecast Discussion. I'm also a fan of the UW Probcast when trying to decide between a hike in the Olympics, Cascades, or further East.
