With the recent info that Puzzlr posted saying that the Dingford Cr road was accessible, I headed up there on Sunday for a trip to Sorcery Mtn. Btw, I saw Puzzlr on the way out, good seeing you!
I got a lazy start, somewhere around 9 at the almost full Dingford Cr parking lot, snow free all the way!
I followed the good trail for over a mile until I hit constant snow and soon found a big group ahead of me. I found out that they were also headed for Sorcery. After a bit, I passed them and found the spot after Goat Creek to start heading uphill towards Horseshoe Lk. The snow was in great shape as it was so easy to stay on top of the crusty snow.

I kept close to the creek until almost to Horseshoe Lk, and then I headed straight uphill to steeper and steeper terrain. I kept my snowshoes on the entire way to the summit but knew I'd put crampons on during the way back. Some icy crust was encountered as I found my way to the W ridge around 5k, a few inches of fresh snow was on top of the rain crust. I reached the summit and thought that this might have been the first time I've been in the middle fork area in the sunshine. The views were great as the moisture clouds were going in and out and were very nice to watch.

After enjoying the views, I headed back down and found the big group nearing the lake. I chatted with a few of them for a bit and headed back down to the trail. It was a nice quick trip out and happy to have gotten a trip out in the sun today.

Quite possibly Sorcery Mountain has never seen 13 people on its summit in one day. Benefit of being slower was that I never considered needing microspikes or crampons, as the snow had softened considerably.
10 1/2 hours car to car, but we took many breaks and also a side trip to Goat Lake on the return, just because. Also walked across Horseshoe Lake on the way in and out. I think you could have done it in 4 hours had you not stopped for us twice

Thanks for stopping and talking for a while on your way out. You were up and down the peak and heading out before I had barely begun working. You could have squeezed in a Galleon or two while you were at it.
