I was around Exit 38 on Sunday and only ran into a few tiny patches of snow in a deeply shaded north facing area around 1800 feet. Looked like there probably wasn't consistent snow until at least 2000-2200' around McClellan.

I'd imagine it's clear of snow. Wandered up Bessemer Road on Sunday and didn't hit snow until close to 3,000 feet, I bet.

I'd bet money the trail is snow free to the lake. And this is the time of year to see it -- the spring melt out is in progress.
