After skiing at the Baker lifts for 5 hours, I headed up to Huntoon Point for a night of star gazing. I was surprised to see many people on the ridge kept coming even after I set up my camp. We were all waiting for the last sunset of this Winter season. The total of seven on the top, and one photographer camping nearby.
Wonderful sunny afternoon:
Mandatory summit shots:
Gorgeous spot for camping:
Last sunset:
Twilight scenes:
The sky was clear and the stars came out quickly:
More night scenes:
The half Moon out at dawn:
Beautiful sunrise:
The sky turned out more overcast not as sunny as predicted. After taking a morning nap for a couple hours, I decided to just head out. This ended up as one of shortest ski trip ever, but a successful night photo shoot anyway. More pics here.

Thank you so much for this. I've been wanting to make it up there for sunrise all year, but it's such a far drive for me I never made it. I was kind of bummed about it, but this is exactly what I was hoping I would see. Even better probably. Not nearly as good as being there in person, but your photography captures magic in the light superbly. I love the dawn shots. Just... beautiful! Thank you for sharing these amazing images from your trip!

There are many superb photographers who contribute to this forum, but IMO some compare but none exceed your ability to capture light, shadow, and color. Thanks.

Very nice. I especially like the scenes of Shuksan glowing just slightly at night, and the very pink Baker at sunrise.

Those sunrise shots are amazing! Great pictures and a wonderful place to camp for sure, with the exception of all the people, but I imagine they go away at midnight .
