I ran into some folks from Leavenworth a few weeks ago while hiking near Yakima. They told me they were "tired of all the snow." Take a look at these images and you'll see there still some around town. Likely still some on Sauer's too along with mud. http://leavenworth.org/weatherwebcams/

A few photos from today (3/27/17) to give you an idea of current conditions. Still pretty wet where it has melted is the general rule.

OK, mister Get Out And Go, what is the pipeline trail like? Snow free enough to hike? My wife informed me today she is feeling good enough for an easy hike. If not the pipeline what are the 11worth ski hill trails like? BTW, good making a few ski runs with you on Saturday!

Hit the Trail, Always great to bump into you at Mission. wave.gif I haven't been over to the Pipeline Trail this year, but I daresay, because of the river rock, it might not be as muddy as other local spots. Ski Hill trails were groomed and packed all winter and are holding the snow (and hard ice) longer, as the photo from yesterday shows. Hasn't stopped me from a few strolls. hink.gif

OK, thanks. There are local flat hikes around here but sometimes I think most of it is just going somewhere different. BTW, I went up the WRAC trail (Jacobson Preserve) this morning and can report it is basically dry all the way to Saddle Rock and bursting out with butter cups at the lower elevations.
