Every time I go to Costco, I'm tempted to buy some of this, despite the fact that it seems like way more than I'd ever use. But so far I haven't. Anyone know if this is any good? Seems like it could be useful for trail bars or something like that, but I dunno.

So, anybody ever try this stuff (whether from Costco or elsewhere)? What'd you use it for?

My daughter loves the CostCo PB2 Powder -- for the most part she uses it as a smoothie add in.

We use it in homemade zip lock cooking meals and in Thai food. It does not have the oil so there are fewer Calories in it but you can add oil. We do not use it real fast.

I usually take half a jar of PB2 on long trips. Goes great with honey or maple syrup, rolled up inside a tortilla.

I sometimes add 2 or 3 spoonfuls to half a MH Teriyaki meal. Tastes good combined with soy sauce, chili sauce or garam masala.

I find PB2 on sale for half price at Fred Liars a couple times a year.

I bought a big jar of it last year, sparked by a recipe for dehydrated Phad Thai.  Not really as bad as it sounds...  But also like adding it to breakfast oatmeal.  I like the idea of adding it to bars and smoothies.  Thanks!!!

I tried it out last summer for lunches on an extended hike. I thought it worked well.

If you want to try it out you can buy little jars at Safeway.

I use it in smoothies and hot cereal. It's very good! The stuff I buy is Jif brand, in a bag. Might try other brands but the Jif is good.

Winco has it in the bulk bins. Really cheap, maybe $4/lbs or so.

I've been hearing about powdered PB a lot lately, is this a new thing or have I just been living in a cave? I can't imagine it tastes like the real stuff?

Powdered PB from Costco tastes fine. Lower fat so a bit less savory.

It's more like a flour, since it is defatted. I wouldn't use it unless it is organic however. Peanuts are filthy.

I used to use it many years ago, when it was new. Haven't in 4 years. We have severe peanut and nut allergies in our home now.
