I went to this place last friday after a WTA work party. Although I only had time for a beer ( there is a food truck parked outside) I was very impressed. I had a brown ale. At first taste, I thought it was weak and watery. But, by the time I finished my beer, I was hankering for another and reveling in the aftertaste. I bought an Imperial Stout to take home (9% !!!) and it was awesome too. I highly recommend this brewery if you're passing through Mt Vernon. Go west on College way and turn right on the main drag there. Go up pass Lowes and Walmart to a T junction next to the Skagit. Turn right and Farmstong is on your right. You won't be sorry.

I too attended the gathering at Farmstrong Brewery after the work party at Bob's urging. The Brown Ale was my choice also and I had a sample of the Porter before I left. Never heard of the place before but I sure intend to make it a point of returning! Thanks Bob.
