Ha ha. Check the date of the article. Wyoming ranchers want to kill off all the currently native wildlife, no way they'd let something totally non native (in the last several centuries anyway) be introduced. Pretty sure roos are considered a nuisance in Australia and the ranchers there are trying to kill them all as well.

Actually, in David Quammens book "The Song of the Dodo" he documents that kangaroos were indeed let loose on Oahu in Hawaii. Apparently, they didn't take.

They planted a lot of Aussie Eucalyptus in California which was almost as bad from a fire perspective.

They were wallabies. There was at one time a small population of them in the Koolau Mountains above Honolulu somewhere but I don't think they've been seen in a few decades.

You are late with posting this. I note your April 2 date. Try next year with Kangaroos NEED our help NOW as the subject.
What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

Hmmm...
I thought I'd heard where the USFS was going to clear cut a 200' wide strip along every trail to save on the maintenance expense of having to log out every year. Must have come from the same source.

Hate to contradict the article but I don't see jackalopes being endangered by this.

But will it affect the relocation and reintroduction of Wooly Mammoths?
