Can't hit....especially when it counts. Can't pitch when it counts. And the big guns suck so far.

At least it's hard to be more disappointed when you've already hit rock bottom.

How about diversifying your portfolio with a National League team? Mets are looking good!

7 runs in the 9th? I don't even care to find out how...just another typical April.

Two words: Abys & mal. Today's bottom of the ninth. They'd said a lot of folks had gone home already.

Okay, you know what? I'm all for good-natured sports shittalking, but this is over the line LB. Rip on the team, rip on the players, rip on the fact that the city continue to support a sh## organization, there are literally endless possibilities to crap all over the Mariners. Heck, maybe I should go Cyrano de Bergerac here and drop 20 quality Mariners Insults to show you how to go about it properly. You do not go after fans for being dedicated to their team, you just don't. You dump on the Cleveland Browns for being consistently awful, but you don't dump on their fans for continually supporting them. You dump on the Cavs or the Falcons or the Indians for blowing their leads in the playoffs, but not the fans for standing behind them. You know why people don't like the Red Sox? Because their fans can't help but behave like you just did. #stayclassy

The problem with Ms fans is illustrated by the fact that at a Safeco game you always know when the loudest fan noise will occur: at the end of the hydro race. I assume that is what he is alluding to.

That's not at all isolated to M's fans. Any sports team will have their dedicated hardcore base, and then the broader casual followers that will only pay attention when the team is successful. Boston saw a massive uptick in popularity in 2004. The Cubs are suddenly the new hotness because they're actually a scary good team now. The Mariners have a 40 year history of being mediocre at best, and you're surprised that fans are apathetic? I would be surprised if they weren't.

Looks like I got your goose. PS there's really no such thing as Moroners fans as fan is short for fanatic. What you have at safeco, besides lots of empty seats, are people who go to games and half watch. 👍

Do you remember clicking on the button to pledge to these terms? Or were you half watching? hmmm.gif https://www.nwhikers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8017231

I'll take casual fans who go to the game just to watch the hydro races over frothy drunkards who shout racists epitaphs at the visiting team's players any day of the week.
