That's cool Josh. up.gif That was kind of a cult classic back in the day. I mostly remember an epic fight scene between 2 big dudes. And one of the greatest movie lines ever. "I came here to chew bubble gum and kick a**. And I'm all out of bubble gum."

Just watched Star Wars Rogue One for the second time, held up very well for me. Much more satisfying than the 2nd viewing of The Force Awakens. Gives me hope for the franchise moving forward.

Indeed there were so many awesome original elements of this movie that I didn't want to spoil it. This line alone is high on my movie line classics lists. Duke n Nukem basically paraphrased this. I keep a few pieces of gum around to this day (which I risk potential head aches) for the moment when I run out. lol.gif The fight scene was outstanding even a second time:

They Live (1988) up.gif up.gif Just watched it last night for the first time. Would have been good even without an ounce of action. I picked up a pair of the main character's glasses in 2016 for the first time, quite scary.
They Live is an awesome and fun B movie.

Me too! From the trailer it looks like the haunted house sequence from Book-III - one of my favorites from the entire series - is included. cool.gif

Idris Elba is finally moving to the A list, after deserving it for a long time.

Ridley Scott is keeping busy. He's producing the Blade Runner sequel and directing the upcoming latest entry in the Aliens franchise. Looking like a good year for sci fi fans. Those 2 mentioned above, Guardians of the Galaxy sequel that just came out, Valerian and the City of A Thousand Planets looks intriguing...and there's some little film called Star Wars coming out at the end of the year.

Finally saw La La Land. I'm not a fan of musicals, but Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone are both very charming and good in their roles. Well done and enjoyable film.

I'm Star Wars'd out. The one the year before last was OK I guess, but the last one, no thanks. I've had enough of milking the storyline the same way repeatedly.
