Thanks for the quicker access to larger size photos (assuming the user uploaded them) AND captions displayed in the lightbox. It's important to encourage captions to avoid the "look at me in a pretty but unknown place" type photos that dominate Facebook, Pinterest and other sites.

OK, I made it so "open in new window" should always open the lightbox. Be sure to refresh the page to get the latest version.
I do not see it on trip reports. For example on the following link I see it still open in the old fashion method: https://www.nwhikers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8022469 It works great on the test page mentioned on page one of this thread. It's responsive too, excellent choice of lightbox! up.gif up.gif

Still a few things I need to do before it goes live on the site. First, I need to make the trip report page responsive for the lightbox to work properly. Also need to get labels working. Probably a few weeks away.

It was working great on the calendar. Will it be added to the rest of the site?

New lightbox has been enabled site-wide. See wiki for more details.

Labels should be working now as well. You need to be logged in. To edit a label just click on the label and edit away. To move a label drag the crosshairs. To delete a label, delete the text (then hit save). To add a new label click on the downward pointing arrow at the top right of the lightbox and click the appropriate option.

Good to hear. One side effect with labels is they need to be zoomed 1:1 with the image (to maintain the positional integrity of any pointers which could be positioned left, right, bottom, top, middle, etc. or all of the above) so labels can look very big when the image is zoomed, particularly for vertical images. It's a balancing act between making the labels large enough to read when zoomed out vs. too big when zoomed in.

One used to be able to click a person's username and then click a button to see all pictures posted by that user. (In addition to all TR's and posts, one could also click on all images by that user.) That feature seems to now be gone. Is this a side effect of lightbox? Is there any way to get that feature back?

Good observation. cool.gif Would be nice to have back, but isn't paramount.

Probably not for a while. Will need to re-write that feature from scratch as the way it was originally done there were too many sort and display options which put too much stress on the server. Will keep it simpler this time which should allow for more efficient coding.

What happened to the label feature? Not working here. Old labels show however.

Click on the downward pointing arrow at the top right for labeling options.
