Good timing I just listened to The Grateful Dead / Grateful Dead "Live" and Hendrix "Blues" I could listen to "Blues" all most everyday and not get tired of it.

I grew up in the Bay Area,,,worked in a record store while attendeing UCB. The store sold Fillmore and Avalon tickets was given freebees every week...so many great shows...
Anyway, in thosee days the Dead was a lousy band, although very popular. It must have been the drugs.

Jimi 1969
All you Dead naysayers....I know I'll never convince you but if you hung at this show you'd understand: sorry the vid starts mid song, it was a rockin' opener, anyway

Were you there? It was a little before my time, but I was at least able to see the last couple of New Year's runs. Cheers!

If you watch a very long Dead concert it seems to always turn into a jam session with all of them playing something random. At least the ones my wife has on various media.

The improvisation sessions are something many fans (me included) love!
