Can this be downclimbed without a repel, ive seen varying tr's! Any advice would be appreciated fellow climbers, thanks!

Yeah, probably. There is one really committing class 4 move that I think would be scary/dangerous to down climb. The rest I could see going okay. My favorite view point in the Cascades I think, btw.

It can be, but why? The rock is pretty fragile and would offer little down-climbing pleasure. My partner pulled out a handhold on the way up that got his attention. I'll pass on the following advice for Boston: "If you don't like the handhold just throw it away." (Quote stolen from Chris Robertson.) I think it's faster and safer to rappel. You do have to be careful to avoid rock fall on the rappel also, but that seemed manageable.

If a mountain is in Washington and is physically red in color, it is probably made of crumbling loose rock
