I want to do an over-night trip to one of my favorite fishing lakes off the mountain loop...I don't really like doing over-nighters alone, boring and scary imho. The lake his really good shore access so you don't really need a raft, although I will probably bring my Curtis. The date is not set in stone but thinking maybe in about a week to ten days from today. Last time I went I landed two nice 11" cutthroat trout from shore on a wet fly. The hike is fairly difficult but not terrible and about 6 miles RT. This is one of the lakes that Brian Curtis the maker of my raft has personally stocked and there are some nice holdovers from about 4 years ago. Must be able to keep a seekrit!

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

Got together with NWhiker Waterman and did an over-nighter...was a good trip although the 90 degree heat and the climb out kicked our butts. doof.gif Caught a nice 12" Cutt within 10 minutes which turned out to be the only fish I landed. Good thing too because I brought very little food. Fish were rising and nice sized, but very particular.
