For those of you in weighed in on what I heard in the middle of the night, I did call the ranger station, and she said there had been other reports of people hearing howls that they thought might be wolves, but no sightings. So, I'm still not ruling out Sasquatch! Anyway, here is the story on my blog, with pics and all. (even one of Mr. Big Foot, ha ha!) http://kellbell-whywouldanyonereadthis.blogspot.com/2017/07/bride-of-sasquatch-part-4-washington.html

Great! This is a great line: "When the forest is so quiet you could hear a mouse fart." smile.gif

Art is an adventure.

When it's quiet like that the brain takes over and you begin to think you hear other noises, like people talking for example. A natural thing. But yes, howls and such are out of the ordinary. Still think you heard a cougar.

great report, Kellbell. when you hear weird noises in the dead of night, it's usually one of two things: 1. some wild animal that is about to eat you momentarily 2. your imagination running wild. in either case, best thing to do is just roll over and go back to sleep. up.gif

Sasquatch almost certainly does not exist. smile.gif If I'm wrong, believe me, I'm going to get a nice clear picture and show you. I'm going with a wolf. Nice report.

Yes, I think it was most likely wolves. But that doesn't mean I don't think Sasquatch could be out there! And I loved what you said Ski, "either case, best thing to do is just roll over and go back to sleep". So true, and yet so hard!! The imagination is so powerful, and when it takes over, it does physical things to you. I hope you read my final post (still working on it), I may even use that quote, if you don't mind Ski.

I like how Eric references that awful TV show "Finding Bigfoot." It desperately needs to be retitled "NOT Finding Bigfoot" Kellbell, if you heard any animal, I suspect your heard wolves, whuch unlike bigfoot, are positively, no doubt about it, known to occur in the Cascades.
