Glad you got your camera back. I bet the kid was like, oh hey! someone left behind their camera! awesome! ...and just stuck it in his pack thinking he'd scored a new toy. I'm just glad he did the right thing when questioned about it. It's a lovely area up there. I need to go back for Gothic, but man... 25 people camping up there on a Wednesday!?! Getting a bit crowded up there, that's for sure. Nice trip.

I was up there yesterday and I counted more than 20 tents when I headed out afternoon. Quite the 'zoo'.
Are there party size limits for that area? Maybe not, I think it's outside of an Wilderness Area. 25 in one group seems pretty excessive though. If anyone else was planning on being up there they are pretty much SOL when a megagroup like that hunkers down.

btw, a recent WTA report claims 30 tents in Gothic Basic on Saturday. Then there are the hordes of day hikers. This place is just getting hammered.
