Does anyone have a first hand report on the fires/smoke and how they are affecting the PCT between Snoqualmie and Stevens Passes? Thanks.

Thanks. Though it may be open it doesn't look like a very good idea right now.

Not sure about the PCT, but I was at Stuart this past weekend. The smoke was blowing in and out. At times you couldn't see the other side of the valley. At other times visibility was good. Things can change a lot in a couple of hours if the wind shifts.

Lots of smoke at Stevens today. This site has been accurate so far, predicts smoke blowing east by tomorrow nite. See "BlueSky Daily Run." https://tools.airfire.org/

FWIW: looking at the map that Joey posted. The PCT certainly traverses through closed sections of forest. I suspect those areas are closed as roads to access trailheads in those areas pass through where fire crews are staging their operations and the last thing the Cle Elum ranger district needs at this point is some camper starting another forest fire.
I think a Thru-Hiker could scoot along without much danger or risk of getting ticketed - but it would be pretty lousy. I was on Mt Daniel a few years ago on the same weekend when the Davis Peak fire started. Hoped for views during a period of dry clear weather were about the same as prior "white out" trips to My Daniel.
So for a section hike, I personally would choose another section, e.g. Goat Rocks.

Waptus is so thick you can't see the end of the lake. Nasty!
And yes this is first hand from someone who had to go in.

See now they are showing the PCT as open as is FR 9737 (North Fork Teanaway). Of course anything along the left side of that road is closed.

I doubt it will be worth it. Inversions have been trapping drifting smoke into each valley in most all directions. After this dry cold front passes I suspect the inversion pattern will continue. Plus, now we have the Norse Peak smoke to content with as well.
First real run the fire made last week. When the column leaned like that it sent spot fires as far south as Yellow Hill and now all those spots have almost run together.
Jolly Fire column from PCT
Drifting smoke moving up the Waptus drainage trapped by temp inversion. Soon after it was thick smoke for the rest of the day, throughout. Been mostly like that since.

See current photo on the fire's site at inciweb. Isolated patches are burning, and with intensity. Impressive. A fire to be cautious around.

PS. Is Sase Ridge trail on the left side of the photo? Or is it a social trail. Soil on Sase and Hex Mountain are so light very little foot or motorcycle traffic creates a trail.

With no compass direction on the image it is impossible to say whether the "Sasse" Ridge Trail is on one side versus the other!

As site I linked above predicted, Stevens is clear today, no smoke.
