They do have a chance but I fear it might be too late: 3.5 games back of the wildcard, with not many left to play in the season.
Oh well, at least this team has been fun to watch.

They realistically don't have a chance when six of the next 9 games are against the two best teams in the AL, plus 3 more against Anaheim (who is about as "in it" as we are). Minnesota doesn't have a cakewalk schedule, but they do have three more against Toronto and seven more against Detroit. Very little chance they don't stay ahead of us.

They always have a chance. They're the Mariners by golly and they're the best! All we need is some boomstick! Love me some boomstick! Good by baseball!
By the way, did you see that monster home run the other night? Even Fox 13's social media guy, who clearly doesn't watch sports, was all about it the other day. You can tell this city is behind this team. That's why they're great! Goooooooo M's.
I <3 the M's!

Congrats to the Cleveland Indians on a 22-game winning streak, second longest in MLB history, longest in AL history and longest in MLB for 100 years. Roll Tribe!

^^^^This is what happens when a Mariners fan finally snaps, probably heard "Well, maybe next year, one too many times".

Actually, the M's did pretty good considering they had no starting pitching most of the year. Time to rethink the starters.

Don’t you worry, they’ll get the pitching. This is the place to be in MLB!!! What a culture. What a fan base!!!!
If this isn’t the year, next year totally is! April is optimism month in Seattle. Yay Mariners! They’re the best!

I love this time of the season: I can enjoy each game for itself, and not worry about yet another hopeless season.
This lineup looks great; there's power up and down the order, especially from the top two-thirds. If only the starting pitching could be better...

M's sure are red hot! Took 3 out of 4 from the Indians! Now if the damn Astros would lose....they've gone 7-3 the last ten games like we have. At least the Angels are having trouble with the Yanks and we're at second place with them now.

Speculation amongst the Twitter pundits today is that Ichiro might hang up his spikes after this weekend's series against Anaheim. It'll be a great send off seeing him go up against (and most assuredly get owned by) Ohtani, but it's definitely time. Dude can't hit anymore, and we need Heredia in the lineup.

Glad to see him sticking around. He'll be a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame. Getting 3,000+ MLB hits notwithstanding that he entered MLB at age 27 is a remarkable accomplishment. Too bad he didn't play his entire pro career in the MLB and been #3 in the 4,000 hit club.
