Duel of Blood and Sand 1963 - Japanese w/English subtitles

A run-of-the-mill potboiler with a different twist on the usual chanbara formula with a bit of Spaghetti-Western soundtrack thrown in.
Unfortunately the subtitles are missing for the last five minutes, so you just have to figure out the ending for yourself (unless you're fluent in Japanese.) dizzy.gif

Not YouTube.
Netflix.

The Killer - released Nov. 10, 2017 on Netflix
Portuguese with English subtitles.

I was going to post something about this in the "movie review" thread, but after reading the reviews of this on IMDb anything I might have to say would be redundant.
Could have been better. Too many characters that we don't know anything about.
Graphic gore that would make Quentin Tarantino squirm.

If I had lived in that era I'd definitely want one of those necklaces. up.gif

Quite a bit more interesting than today's parade, I think.

Here's a guy I've started to watch, and I particularly like his video about buying mom her dream car.

I'm liking the Winnetou series of films from Karl May. Ridiculous stories, major historical errors, but they're still great entertainment... and the shooting locations in Croatia and Slovenia are spectacular... a few undubbed sections where there's a lot of shouting in German are somehow utterly hilarious...

Watching this one 30 min at a time on the stairclimber. A 1962 schniztel western (german) as opposed to a spaghetti western (italian) presents cliches of cliches and historical goofs (Totem poles in a Ute village??) in an endearing fashion so archaic it's good. Featuring Herbert Lom as the bad guy dubbed into English....

I look forward to watching the other 6 Old Shatterhand films a half hour of pain at a time! thanks for digging this up.

Blomkamp continues his amazing experimentation at Oats Studios, there are now 3 episodes of Adam making for a cliffhanging 20ish minutes of sequential shorts. Here's episode 1...
