It actually happened the week before this one. With the days getting shorter and weather turning, it started. Anyone else? It started with a Cheech and Chong skit (I can't really call it a song) about Santa going off in my head.

Went to see Smoking Bill last night and they said they hate it when people start playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving, then they launched into a Christmas medley... LOL. I found it highly inappropriate, which only made it more entertaining... wink.gif

I found myself whistling "Sleigh Ride" and "It's a Marshmallow World" the other day; I guess I am hopeful for a good winter of snow. I do wish they would do away with the overpowering cinnamon scented pine cones that seem to be in every store entrance beginning this time of year.

Nature exists with a stark indifference to humans' situation.

Did he get home okay? I heard his snowhouse at the North Pole was starting to melt before he left, and he had to touch down in Siberia on his return and kayak home. Or whatever's left of it.

Oh man, forget the rats. Now it's Santa running across the melting tundra.

The ice hasn't firmed up at the North Pole yet. Santa needs a firm runway to get is reindeer and overloaded sleigh off the ground. What will happen to Christmas if the ice doesn't firm up by the 24th? shakehead.gif

Perhaps we can celebrate the Winter Solstice, like the Celts and other peoples did (do). That's a real thing, not a made up, derivative thing.

Right now I'm wishing there was a Santa that would come and take things away. Looks like I'm moving and I have accumulated too much stuff. Maybe there's a Used Santa out there? If I lived in an evil neighborhood, I'd box up the junkiest stuff and leave it on my porch.

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

If this keeps up, Santa is going to relocate to the South Pole.

Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean someone isn't out to get you.
