Merry Christmas to all.

Let's hope a country that claims to be "Christian" acts more like it in 2018. If JC was born today - in Seattle, lets say - his birthplace would more than likely be a blue-tarped tent under an overpass. People would avert their eyes as they passed the tattered encampment. The family would struggle to get healthcare for their baby, as the current Pharisee class is currently uninterested in funding CHIP. Most of JC's life would be spent struggling financially as a handyman or day laborer. Before finally getting labeled as a left-wing socialist in his last three years. But driving safely is excellent advice.

If Jesus were incarnate and living in Seattle he might be on NWHikers given his love for the outdoors and hiking! For example, Mark 9:2: Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain apart by themselves.... And then there was the time he spent 40 days and 40 nights fasting in the wilderness, not to mention his love for fishing. Also, carpentry was a high tech industry 2000 years ago. Something comparable today might be computer programer. Did you know, extreme poverty is at it's lowest level ever and that some think it could be eliminated by 2030? That would be a big positive change from the first Christmas. Merry Christmas, because there is light and hope for continued progress in our world.

Sure, they'd be options. Good, solid products made by normal people. I think he'd be concerned about ethical sourcing in general though and be careful about how he spent his money and he would call out those more concerned with style over substance. He also might say things like, "What you do to the least of your online interlocutors, you do onto me." I'll try to keep that in mind for 2018.
