Beautiful. Looks VERY cold. Brrrrrr. I am thinking there must be soil sediment in the water to give it that amber/honey look. ~z

Thanks, zephyr. It was around 6°F; as you said...brrr. You are correct about the muddy water: it had snowed the past couple of days, which most likely had leeched some mud from the hillsides and into the Blackwater River.
Here's one from yesterday, on a slightly warmer day, looking at the Great Falls of the Potomac (Virginia):
