Hyalite Canyon near Bozeman is a winter playground. Blog post #31 - A Walk through Hyalite

What a coincidence -- I was just at Hyalite Canyon this past weekend ice climbing. What a spectacular place and great climbing. Enjoyed reading your blog post about the other areas near there, wish I had time to check them out! Maybe on another visit.

Thanks! Did you post any photos from your climbing?

Nope, I didn't really take many photos and the few I did are on my phone and I doubt I will get around to posting them anywhere. Unless I'm backpacking I tend to not take many photos for whatever reason and just enjoy the hike/climb/ski whatever.

“Pat’s a great example of the generational connectivity that climbing builds,” Anker said, adding that Callis is the only climber he knows who has completed first ascents with both Yosemite icon Warren Harding and Fred Beckey, one of North America’s most prolific mountaineers."
