Anyone been to hidden lake recently? Wondering about snow depth (how close to trailhead you can get in) and what the chances are if we hiked in Saturday that the lookout would be occupied.. We went about a month ago and were surprised to find 4 cars at the trailhead and about 15 on the way up...

can we get a little more talent in the monitors, please?

Here's a report from last weekend. I would expect much more snow now as well as avalanche risk on the upper slopes. A major weather system is possibly moving in over the weekend too. https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/trip-reports/trip_report.2018-01-20.9316765883

Mt. Baker has had 109" of snowfall since January 18th. The snow depth has increased by 68". Expect deep snow with a major avalanche cycle Saturday night through much of Monday.

Thanks Rich & GB! We're debating a peak on the south side of baker (great view of the sisters) that we've been to a couple times recently instead, but would really love to do this one when it's low traffic (which it sounds like it is)...

can we get a little more talent in the monitors, please?

So to bump this thread... Now that the avy warnings should subside a bit (hoping).. anyone know recent conditions? Chance of getting to the top mid week and finding it unoccupied?

can we get a little more talent in the monitors, please?

recent conditions are there's snow up there and you probably can't drive far up the road. suggest looking at previous TR's on this site for this trip during the months of jan - april.
